The Product Management Industrial IoT role is a key part of the Enterprise IoT Advanced Services Team within the Rogers Business portfolio. This position is accountable for the end-to-end Customer Readiness activities needed to launch and support our Industrial IoT portfolio, including Wireless Private Networks and Public Transit Services.
Key customer readiness activities include defining and updating product descriptions, value propositions, and service level requirements; collaborating with extended teams to define and execute product roadmaps; developing and iterating customer commercial agreements; managing product lifecycle, customer journeys, and marketing plans; managing the product portfolio to meet revenue and margin objectives; ensuring that training is developed and launched to sales, channels, and operations; and meeting with customers regularly to support these activities.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Industrial IoT, this critical function requires a highly self-motivated individual contributor to take ownership of a high-growth emerging market for Industrial Wireless Private Networks, Public Transit Services, and Managed Services. The successful candidate should have a rich background in 4G/5G mobile networks, combining this knowledge with customer insights to develop world-class Managed Wireless Private Network and Public Transit Services offerings. They should also possess a deep understanding of business market dynamics and be comfortable working in an Agile Product development environment. An expert collaborator and influencer, you will engage cross-functional teams to deliver the annual plan that will help transform the Industrial IoT portfolio revenue streams.
What you'll be doing:
- Develop and maintain customer journeys for the Industrial Network Product portfolio.
- Document and maintain customer value propositions and product feature roadmaps.
- Develop and document business cases and secure capital as needed to support roadmaps.
- Meet regularly with customers, business development leads, and technology teams to shape the product strategy.
Portfolio Strategy:
- Collaborate with business development and technology teams to update and improve our strategy document for Industrial IoT.
- Update customer needs analysis, market sizing, and competitive assessments to identify strategic opportunities.
- Clearly document and articulate industry and customer trends within the portfolio.
- Use market research to help shape target sectors for industrial networks.
Go-to-Market Execution:
- Implement the strategy and necessary initiatives to achieve annual revenue targets.
- Build strong relationships and work with key stakeholders within sales, operations, and technology teams.
- Own and ensure all supporting activities related to your portfolio, including product training, sales collateral, funnel management, deal support, bid responses, and overall engagement.
- Enable business development and sales teams with the tools required to effectively articulate your solutions and help them close deals with ease and confidence.
What you will bring:
- Experience in Product Management and Agile methodologies.
- 5+ years of work experience with enterprise customers.
- University degree in Business or Engineering, or a combination of work experience and education relevant to the role.
- Strong financial acumen and skills in business case development, forecasting, and pricing models.
- Excellent understanding of business and technology, and commercial agreements.
- Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, working well with others and effectively within all levels of cross-functional teams.
