We are the Assisted Channels team for Residential Products. We are invested in a product-centric way of funding and delivering technology based on Agile practices specifically serving our front-line agents. Working with our business and technology partners across the organization we are looking to deliver to deliver key capabilities to create a first-class experience to our front-line agents in all channels.

Who we're looking for:
As a Sr. Manager, Development, you will play a critical role in leading a team to do design and delivery for our Assisted Channels applications for our Residential products. Leading the team, you will be focusing on delivering solutions against a technical stack that use a varied stack including but not limited to: Angular, Springboot and Play/Akka. You will also take part in making strategic decisions with our Solution and Architecture teams.

Who we're looking for:
As a Sr. Manager, Development, you will play a critical role in leading a team to do design and delivery for our Assisted Channels applications for our Residential products. Leading the team, you will be focusing on delivering solutions against a technical stack that use a varied stack including but not limited to: Angular, Springboot and Play/Akka. You will also take part in making strategic decisions with our Solution and Architecture teams.
What you'll be doing:
- Manage, negotiate, and coordinate with technology, and business stakeholders on prioritization of tactical and strategic technology initiatives, as well as monitor the entire project process
- This role is accountable for end-to-end delivery of features, enhancements, and projects
- Implement processes, best practices, and tools allow for multiple paths of delivery. i.e., create simplified, consistent, reusable, efficient and flexible solutions
- Development culture and developer experience
- Recommend improvements and drive alignment across the landscape for Rogers
- Lead and influence others including those more senior on best practices
- Manage partnerships with external vendors and accountabilities from those vendors to Rogers
- Inspire others to adopt the new processes and improvements based on program retrospectives
- Manage teams of developers across multiple squads
- Will be responsible to establish a code quality processes for delivery, code control and sustainability - governance and enforcement of best practices.
What you bring:
- Preferred to have a Bachelor's Degree in computer science, Computer Engineering or related technical work experience
- 5+ years of experience in understanding all aspects of software engineering, including coding, architecture, and network engineering
- 5+ years of experience leading teams and co-ordinating deliveries across many verticals towards a common delivery
- 3+ years' experience of demonstrated ownership of software engineering roadmap and experience with managing the day-to-day activities of a team using Agile processes (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe)
- Strong technical thinking and demonstrated ability to lead software design and coding in at least one modern programming language such as Java, C#, C/C++, Ruby, Python, Angular, React or JavaScript
- Knowledge of Dynatrace, Adobe Analytics is an asset
- Strong organizational and estimation skills with ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional customer relationship skills including the ability to discover the true requirements underlying feature requests and recommend alternative technical and business approaches
- Working knowledge of key technical concepts such as modern backend applications, cloud-based systems, web services, Kubernetes and container frameworks, etc.
