Job Description
A career in Risk Management, within Internal Firm Services, will provide you with the opportunity to advance and foster integrity based decision making and conduct by PwC professionals throughout our organisation. You'll focus on promoting and monitoring compliance with applicable external laws and regulations as well as internal policies and procedures to help manage PwC's regulatory, litigation, and reputational risk.Our Independence Compliance team provides guidance on all areas of PwC's independence policy and the regulatory environment. As part of the team, you'll provide updates on Independence and regulatory rules and will evaluate new client opportunities based on PwC's compliance policies and procedures.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a JBR Independence Manager, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Supporting client teams by providing guidance and advice on Independence consultation requests relating to business relationships
• Performing business relationship permissibility assessments including those independence assessments relating to the use of technology
• Providing advice and guidance to Partners and practice staff on complex independence rules
• Oversight of independence team members - onshore and offshore
• Ad-hoc projects determined from time to time, including the provision of general support to other independence activities
• Gaining breadth and insight into the operations and activities of the firm
• Being part of a large cross-functional team, and the opportunity of working with Independence leaders, audit teams and project teams
• Contributing directly to the firm in achieving its performance goals, especially regarding growth, leading firm and quality
• Developing a solid technical base and understanding of the independence rules which underpin everything we do as a Firm
• Engaging in a solutions-focused, cohesive, vibrant team
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Audit experience or experience working in the accounting or regulatory field
• A focus on client service, with an ability to share and collaborate with others
• Good project management skills and strong database and research skills
• Judgment and problem-solving skills and a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills
• A conscientious, ambitious team player, with good self-management skills
