These individuals help businesses navigate complex tax regulations and optimise their tax positions.In specialised tax services at PwC, you will focus on providing tax advice and solutions to clients in complex and niche areas of taxation. This includes areas such as accounting methods, fixed-assets and research and development tax credits.

You will assist in identifying and maximizing federal and state tax credits and incentives, providing valuable analysis and tracking to support clients' business objectives . Our team focuses on creating proactive and value-added programs to enhance client engagement and ensure compliance with applicable tax laws and rules.
Meaningful work you'll be a part of
As a SR&ED Senior Manager you'll work as part o f a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Lead the completion of SR&ED and R&D tax credit claims, ensuring timely and budget-compliant delivery
• Develop and implement practical solutions to maximize clients' returns from government incentives
• Oversee client meetings and provide support during SR&ED reviews
• Manage a diverse portfolio of clients, reporting to senior leadership
• Drive business development activities to identify and capitalize on new opportunities
• Formulate strategies to address complex technical challenges
• Mentor, coach, and supervise staff to enhance team performance
• Leverage extensive experience in technology environments to provide expert guidance
• Apply creative problem-solving skills to SR&ED rules and lead claim preparation
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, promoting SR&ED services
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve :
• Extensive experience in computer science, IT, or technical management, with competencies in software development, hardware development, and IT systems
• A degree or education in a STEM field or related discipline
• Broad knowledge of current development technologies, including web development, XML, Java, JavaScript, C#, database technologies, open source, mobile apps, and other related technologies.
• Prior experience with the SR&ED tax credit program, including preparing and supporting IT or software-based SR&ED claims
• Strong client-service orientation focused on achieving high-quality, timely , and profitable results.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills, combined with intellectual curiosity and creative problem-solving abilities
• Proven ability to apply creative problem-solving skills to SR&ED rules and lead claim preparation and review engagements
• Demonstrated ability to ask the right questions and elicit relevant information from technical people
• Highly motivated with strong relationship development skills to network with and market SR&ED services to clients
