Who we're looking for:
Do you hate black boxes? Do you love to automate repetitive tasks? Do you love learning new technologies? Are you a coder who likes networking and servers? We are looking for a candidate who will be a critical member of Service Delivery Environment / Rogers High Speed Internet team charged with operations and support of a DNS, DHCP and traffic traversing through Service Delivery IP Network. This position entails the care and feeding of a robust environment, in addition to interfacing directly with NOC, Engineering and Vendors to understand potential issues and provide remediation. The successful candidate will interact with product management and product development to understand operational requirements, implement new software components and product upgrades, and stay abreast of system performance and ultimately the customer experience. Please note that background checks are required as a condition of employment.

What you will be doing:
- Deploy, and manage the virtualized infrastructure using VMware products, including vSphere, NSX-T, vCloud Director, AVI Networks, and Tanzu.
- Maintain and optimize the performance, reliability, and scalability of virtual environments.
- Implement and manage** network virtualization solutions using NSX-T.
- Integrate and manage** containerized applications using VMware Tanzu.
- Monitor and troubleshoot** infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
- Collaborate with DevOps, networking, and security teams** to streamline and automate processes.
- Create and maintain documentation** for systems and procedures related to VM infrastructure.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and best practices in virtual infrastructure and cloud technologies
What you will bring:
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in VMware technologies including vSphere, NSX-T, vCloud Director, AVI, and Tanzu.
- In-depth knowledge of **virtualization concepts**, including compute, storage, and networking.
- Strong experience in **network virtualization** using VMware NSX-T.
- Experience in **Kubernetes** and **Tanzu** for managing containerized workloads.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- Linux system administration experience
- Strong networking knowledge (TCP/IP, routing, switching)
