Job Description
A career in our Deals Strategy practice, within Deals Transaction Services, will provide you the opportunity to help organisations realise the potential of mergers, acquisitions and divestitures and capital markets. In short, we help some of the world's leading companies originate, create, execute, and realise value from deals. Through data driven insights we help our clients move in the right direction ensuring maximum value for their company.Our team helps companies navigate the accounting and financial reporting challenges of business combinations. As part of the team, you'll develop roadmaps of the driving economic objectives, determine the appropriate professionals needed, and consider financial reporting implications for deals.
Meaningful work you'll be a part of:
As a Delivering Deal Value Senior Manager , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Integration strategy and execution
• Deal transaction execution
• Due diligence - stand-alone costs, carve out
• Synergy review and planning including cost optimization/ business transformation
• Carve out and separat ion execution
As part of the transaction process, the DDV team develops a rapid understanding of the target/client business in order to quickly assimilate the key operational issues, synergies, risks and upsides around a transaction.
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve:
• Experience in providing strategic advice and support to senior management , d emonstrating extensive knowledge of Mergers, Acquisitions and Divestitures including pre-deal due diligence, integration planning, separation planning, s ynergy and cost savings analysis, and/or post-close transformation
• Experience running large programs ( e.g. global, multi-functional) with the ability to manage multiple senior level stakeholders across functions toward delivering against the deal objectives
• K nowledge of the following functional areas : Information Technology, Human Resources, Finance, Operations/Supply Chain, and/or Sales and Marketing
• Extensive ability to manage and develop strategic client relationships while providing the highest quality client work across multiple client projects
• F unctioning as a trusted advisor at the highest levels of client organizations based on competency (integrations/separations)
• Managing quantitative and qualitative analyses of complex data
• Leading business development and pursuit activities internally with client pursuit teams and externally with client facing meetings and proposal discussions
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• The ability and willingness to travel within Canada and internationally
