Job Description
We are looking for a full-time Director to be a part of our Transformation Risk and Advisory team. This individual will bring a strong understanding of transformation delivery within either IT or people change programs. They will have hands on experience of setting up and leading transformation teams, including PMO's. Our transformation risk and advisory practice focuses on assisting clients that are going through large transformations ($100 Mil - $5 bil) by providing services that cover transformation strategy, transformation risk management, transformation program management or other related services. The core focus of this team is to work with clients that are going through large transformation programs and help them make these programs successful. We bring an integrated people, process and technology approach to these projects and can support the client from "strategy to execution" with their transformation program.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Transformation Assurance Director, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Build new relationships and leverage existing relationships within the industry to identify large transformation programs where PwC can take a Transformation Risk & Advisory role
• Identify gaps in the market and spot opportunities to create value propositions
• Promote and encourage others to value difference when working in diverse teams
• Manage the end-to-end delivery (including project economics) of multiple consulting projects comprising multiple resources and teams
• PMO set up and delivery experience including reporting on progress to c-suite sponsors
• Building strong networks within the firm to spot help ensure our clients see the best of PwC
• Lead pursuit teams and proposal development including innovative approaches and methodologies tailored to address specific client transformation requirements
• Ensure the quality of deliverables and that clients are satisfied with the work
• Grow and develop our team through hands on training and coaching
• Stay abreast of key industry developments both within Canada and globally
• Understand the operational implications of client's strategies
• Define and develop new consultant assets and accelerators to support our services
• Help clients develop business cases and justifications for transformational projects
• Communicate complex material effectively in written and oral formats to various audiences
• Manage an engagement team to the production of quality deliverables on time and on budget and in line with client expectations and internal standards
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Proficient transformation programme experience including at least 1-2 large programs with $100+ Mil budget
• An MBA or CA AND programme management certification or equivalent is considered an asset
• Prior consulting experience and a strong understanding of how consulting organizations work
• The ability to collaborate across multiple dimensions and parts of the PwC organization
• An interest in upskilling for a digital world and technology trends, an openness to learning new tools and adapting how you work
• Extensive experience from a management consulting background demonstrating knowledge of strategy, operations and technology used in asset-intensive clients to serve their customers and stakeholders
• Credibility with clients by demonstrating subject matter expertise and knowledge in the operation processes of electricity generation transmission, distribution and/or customer engagement
• Hands-on experience justifying, managing or delivering large business and IT transformations and full life-cycle projects
• Proven track record of managing and delivering significant business results that reflects strategic and creative thinking, individual initiative and motivating teams
• Ability to develop and manage strategic client relationships while providing the highest quality client work across multiple client projects
• Demonstrated capability in thought leadership, new business development and securing project extensions, including client lead maturation, proposal development, and closing new business opportunities
• Excellent leadership, organizational and verbal and written communication skills
• Proven leader with extensive abilities to build solid and collaborative relationships with team members, foster a productive teamwork environment, and leverage diverse views
• Bilingual proficiency in French and English is considered an asset
• A demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
