Brainhunter is currently seeking "Senior Manager Strategic Sourcing and Contracts" to work for our valued Client. This is a six-month contract opportunity with potential to extend.

The Senior Manager of Strategic Sourcing & Contracts will join a team reporting to the Director, Strategic Sourcing & Contracts. The primary responsibilities of the Senior Manager, Strategic Sourcing & Contracts is to lead the development and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives and manage the full contract lifecycle. This role will work with multiple stakeholders including Senior leadership, Business Stakeholders, Privacy, Security, Risk Management, Audit, Compliance, Finance, and the Legal department to ensure that the terms and conditions stated in contracts are in line with Client's standard strategic objectives all while building strong supplier relationships. This role will collaborate with internal stakeholders to align sourcing strategies with business objectives, driving cost savings and mitigating risks. This role's expertise will be crucial in optimizing our sourcing processes and contributing to the company's overall success.

Accountabilities:
    • Develop and implement comprehensive strategic sourcing strategies across various categories of spend, aligned with overall business objectives.
    • Conduct in-depth market analysis, identify emerging trends, and evaluate supplier capabilities to inform strategic sourcing decisions.
    • Serve as point of contact for all ongoing contractual matters between multiple stakeholders and legal.
    • Lead complex contract negotiations with suppliers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions, including pricing, service levels, and risk mitigation clauses.
    • Oversee the entire contract lifecycle, from drafting and review to execution
    • Develop contract summaries, including risk summaries for senior executives as needed
    • Ensure all contracts comply with relevant legal and regulatory requirements, working closely with the legal department.
    • Cultivate and maintain strong, collaborative relationships with key suppliers, fostering continuous improvement and innovation.
    • Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to cost savings, supplier performance, contract compliance, and risk mitigation.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders across various departments to understand their needs and ensure alignment on sourcing and contract strategies.
    • Identify, assess, and mitigate potential risks associated with sourcing and contracting activities, including supply disruptions, legal liabilities, and reputational damage.
    • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate and improve sourcing and contract management processes to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and compliance.
    • Lead special projects (and other duties as assigned) as necessary.
    • Perform administrative tasks in Fieldglass and on Ariba
Communication:
    • Strong ability to get to the core of an issue and communicate complex ideas with clarity and impact.
    • Skill in crafting persuasive narratives to support complex negotiations.
    • Comfortable leading meetings effectively with colleagues up to VP level.
    • Confidence in representing the organization to external stakeholders within their area of expertise.
Presence/Relationships:
    • Strong leadership presence and influence within the team.
    • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders up to VP level.
    • Demonstrated track record of accountability and professionalism.

Domain Expertise:
    • Deep expertise in category management, drafting and negotiating skills
    • Advanced understanding of contract provisions and risk identification using vendor paper
What you will need:
    • 5 - 10 years' experience in drafting and negotiating contracts
    • Extensive experience in SAP Fieldglass including creating/revising/editing SOWs
    • Knowledge of eCommerce related contracts
    • PC skills (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint)
    • External procurement and/or legal qualification preferred
