The Global Mobility Team is responsible for mobilizing our people virtually, nationally, and globally in support of the firm's Talent agenda while ensuring the firm's compliance in moving people across borders. Our focus is creating a positive employee experience for our people while working with our stakeholders to assess & manage the complex compliance requirements of our programs.
One of our key accountabilities is supporting KPMG's GO program. The GO program is KPMG's international assignment program where we facilitate the movement of our people on short-term and long-term assignments to KPMG offices around the world. The team also supports all international and domestic relocations for the Canadian firm and assists with Canadian immigration and permanent residency matters.
The Global Mobility Advisor is the subject matter expert and primary contact providing counseling and guidance to Business Unit Leaders and partners, assignees, transferees, new hires, HR and other stakeholders on all relocation & Canadian immigration matters.

This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support KPMG employees nationally and will be required to communicate with English-speaking colleagues. This individual will be required to create documentation and share guidance to those in English-speaking provinces.
KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $54,000 to $81,000 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.

What you will do
- Responsible for the management of inbound & outbound case files and ensuring compliance requirements are met.
- Ensures the consistent interpretation and application of KPMG Mobility programs including GO Assignments and KPMG Relocation, Tax and Immigration Policies.
- Primary point of contact & trusted advisor for employees who are relocating in and out of Canada.
- Manages and oversees the preparation of GO assignment documents and ensures the applicable approvals are received.
- Arranges various services (internal and external) in accordance with eligibility under the specific mobility program as well as manage exceptions and expectations.
- Advises immigration inquiries for all KPMG temporary foreign workers relocating to or within Canada.
- Interacts with stakeholders and global mobility counterparts at global member firms in regards to applicable policies and legislation.
- Reviews, audits, and authorizes payment for all vendor .
- Manages, audits, and authorizes KPMG assignee/transferee reimbursements and allowances (i.e., per diem payments, housing allowances and international assignment payments).
- Oversees and determines taxability of all mobility benefits; track, report and gross-up in accordance with KPMG tax and CRA policies.
- Participates and supports team projects and initiatives.
What you bring to the role
- Bachelor's degree in HR or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Human Resources, Global Mobility, Immigration or Relocation.
- Subject matter expert concerning corporate Global Mobility programs, relocation policy and related benefits.
- Ability to build and maintain trusting relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work effectively in situations involving rapid change and able to prioritize conflicting priorities.
- Strong analytic and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills. French communication skills an asset.
- Superior MS Office - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook skills.
- Handles confidential information professionally and discreetly.
- Superior attention to detail.
