Finance Generalist, Senior Associate (Contract)

Job Description
At PwC, our people in finance focus on providing financial advice and strategic guidance to internal clients, helping them optimise their financial performance and make informed business decisions. These individuals handle financial analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and risk management. Those in financial strategy and planning at PwC will focus on developing and implementing strategic financial plans to drive business growth and profitability. Your work will involve analysing financial data, forecasting future trends, and providing recommendations for optimising financial performance.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Finance Generalist, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• B e a subject matter expert for finance systems ( e.g. iPower, Oracle, Concur Expense) and multiple BOTs and understand the integrations these systems and technologies have with other applications
• P rovide finance support for various groups within the firm
• Run and prepare monthly reporting, review and analysis of results, and prepare for monthly presentation/discussion of results to the Business Unit (BU) Owner
• Ongoing budget to actual analysis
• Provide BU Owners with annual budget support
• B e responsible for annual data entering and management in the firm budget tool
• Review, calculate and post financial journals
• Investigate any issues and report findings in a timely manner
• Assist with special projects for the department, as required
• Assist with ongoing audit requests, as required
• C ontinuously analyze current methods to find efficiencies
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• University Degree in Commerce/Business, Data Management, Economics or Technology
• Good understanding of accounting principles
• Proficient in MS Office Suite, Oracle, Concur Expense
• The ability to think critically and challenge the status quo where appropriate
• Continuously find efficiencies in the current process and not be afraid to change the current processes were deemed appropriate
• Self-starter who possesses excellent communication skills
• T his is a 16-month full-time contract opportunity
