Job Description
The Capital Projects & Infrastructure practice advises governments and businesses in the delivery of complex capital projects. We work across many sectors including transportation, energy, mining, utilities, and social infrastructure. We provide services across the project lifecycle including advising clients on project feasibility, governance, infrastructure procurement, construction readiness, project execution, and readiness for operations.
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Real Assets - Director , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for helping grow revenue from Capital Projects consulting opportunities and to deepen the construction/engineering expertise within PwC Canada
• Executing a strategy to generate new business and developing Capital Projects related engagement delivery capabilities within PwC Canada
• Be involved in business development activities and help shape the service offering
• Personally engage with key clients to establish strategic relationships and maximize benefits of those relationships to PwC
• Leverage expertise , resources, and best practices from around the world while attracting and developing a high-quality team in Canada
• Manage the delivery of PwC engagements to meet client expectations and PwC quality standards
• Build constructive relationships with leaders across PwC
• Grow the talent pool able to deliver Capital Projects related projects
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Extensive experience at a director level in project management, engineering consulting, or construction management in energy, utilities, mining or transportation sectors. Experience working for EPCs is a preference
• Professional designation such as Engineering, PMP, PQS is preferred
• Experience working on complex capital projects (>CDN $200M)
• Proven technical skills in at least two of the following: project management, project controls (schedule and cost), and risk management
• Experience with industry standard cost and scheduling tool sets ( e.g. Primavera). Well established profile, international network of relationships, and strong reputation within the large capital projects community
• Performed project management activities associated with engineering / design, construction, and commissioning
• Experience applying PMI and AACE standards
• Experience in claims management, assessments of distressed assets, litigation support is a plus
• Active involvement in industry forums such as ACEC, AACE, PMI, etc...
