The Deals L&D Manager will support the Development Pillar's vision of driving value to our people, business and clients by fostering a culture of continuous learning. They will help cultivate an environment where education, coaching and teamwork are valued, and our people actively seek challenging opportunities to learn and develop to their full potential. The Deals L&D Manager, with guidance from the Deals L&D Leader, is responsible for the design, development, implementation and evaluation of Deals learning solutions, from inception through to business impact. This role works with a degree of independence and will lead and be accountable for various L&D programs, projects and teams.

Meaningful work you will be a part of
As a Deals Learning and Development Ma nager , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Build and manage relationships with key stakeholders across the business, including program sponsors, subject matter experts (SMEs), Deals business units, Human Capital, Resource Management and other areas as applicable
• Develop and deliver high-quality learning strategies and solutions aligned with the Deals strategic plan through collaboration with program sponsors, subject matter experts (SME's) xLoS Learning and Development (L&D), Deals business units, global Deals L&D and other areas of the business as applicable
• Ensure critical success factors and project risks are identified and managed proactively (e.g., training needs analysis performed, specific learning objectives identified, target audience and instructor profile determined, etc.)
• Leverage the PwC Global network to share ideas, best practices and content, including tailoring globally developed programs for Canadian purposes, as applicable
• Organize/deliver instructor briefings and train-the-trainer events, as appropriate . This may include facilitation of courses
• Evaluate the effectiveness of programs and adjust based on feedback from instructors, participants and the business
• Develop and execute implementation plans for assigned programs, including budget planning and tracking, scheduling, communications, curriculum set up, enrollments, translation, evaluation, and project management. This includes mobilizing, coaching and managing L&D Senior Associates / Associates
• Review compliance results and determine appropriate actions including reporting to leadership, remediation plans, etc.
• Ensure the business is aware of developments in Deals/xLoS L&D, including preparing / sharing formal written communications to announce upcoming L&D programs
• Represent Deals L&D in various committees, meetings and workstreams

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• I nterest in L&D/adult learning, coupled with a desire to develop knowledge and skills in this area. Facilitation and/or instructional design experience is helpful
• Understanding of Deals focus areas/priorities and how they translate into L&D priorities
• C onsulting skills - specifically the ability to communicate effectively (both orally and in writing) and to maintain collaborative relationships
• Develop appropriate solutions to problems (logical, efficient, innovative, etc.) taking account of any potential client impact
• E xercise judgment in involving appropriate stakeholders/SMEs
• Incorporate client input into work products and manage client expectations to gain consensus regarding what needs to be done
• Proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects and work to tight deadlines
• Supervisory skills and ability to work effectively in teams and independently - often in a virtual or hybrid environment
• Fostering growth in oneself and others through on-the-job coaching and performance management
• Ability to work proficiently with standard Firm technology (Microsoft applications, Vantage, Rise, etc.) and to learn new software
