The Resource Management team is an integral part of KPMG's National Audit Operations group which deploys various programs focused on centralization, standardization and automation to support audit engagement teams in performing effective and efficient audits.

Resource Management is all about standardizing and optimizing resources for our firm, our audit clients, and our people.This means:
  • identifying resource options that align the right people to the right work to deliver high quality services to our clients;
  • enabling business functions to share people resources; and
  • better workforce planning, including efficient and effective leverage models, contractor use, and offshore resourcing.
  • leveraging tools to identify opportunities for our audit professionals, considering individual interests and specialized skills when staffing audit engagements.
The Senior Manager, Resource Management - Process Standardization will design, execute and assess the adequacy and effectiveness of our internal controls for compliance with industry and regulatory standards. This individual will contribute to the development and continuous improvement of our internal control frameworks, policies, and procedures.

What you will do
  • Develop an understanding of National Resource Management processes and controls.
  • D esign and implement National R esource M anagement processes.
  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders that impact National Resource Management controls ( e.g.; Learning and Development, Audit Quality, Audit Operations, Audit and Tax National Leaders etc ).
  • Manage regular interactions with Business Units across the country, including Business Unit Leaders, Audit Partners and Resource Managers.
  • Collaborate on solutions to optimize internal processes and promote efficiency.
  • Evaluate and support the implementation of IT tools and solutions that enable the underlying processes and controls.
  • Stay up to date with developments in SoQM requirements including external regulatory requirements and KPMG Global requirements.
  • Prepare summary materials to report on SoQM to key stakeholders.
  • Work with the National SOQM team and Partner in Charge of Resource Management, in the development of remedial actions related to R esource M anagement controls.
What you bring to the role
  • CPA with at least 5 + years of audit experience (or other relevant professional experience).
  • Experience with the audit or implementation of internal controls (i.e. SOX, ICFR).
  • Ability to communicate effectively and confidently, leading meetings, calls and group discussions with senior level audiences.
  • Experience in working on large projects with multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and support projects within structured frameworks to demonstrate compliance.
  • Ability to challenge process design and deliver continuous improvement.
  • Ability to be empathetic with individuals while also providing challenge.
  • Self starter with ability to work under own initiative to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in utilizing technology to develop efficient solutions (i.e. experience with PowerBI is an asset).
  • Proven experience in building excellent client relationships.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with ability to process unstructured information.
  • Organized and methodical, with strong attention to detail and ability to analyze and interpret information.
This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support or collaborate with English-speaking colleagues.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $103,000 to $154,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
