A career as part of our Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) Strategy & Transformation team will provide you the opportunity to work with some of the most influential organizations in Canada, to help build, shape and integrate ESG into their business strategy and help our clients make an impact on the lives of their beneficiaries, clients, and society. The role provides day-to-day leadership both within PwC Canada and with our clients, serving as a strategic advisor, and managing the delivery of outstanding, high-caliber work. As part of our team, you will play an instrumental role in advising our clients' leadership teams on how to transform their businesses in the face of increasingly complex economic, environmental, social and geopolitical factors. We will provide you with an opportunity to work with some of the largest and most complex organizations in the world to enable our clients to develop winning, sustainable, and impactful strategies. Together we will analyze the critical trends in ESG and strategy and explore new approaches to help our clients make tough choices to grow and sustain their advantages. We provide strategic advice and support to our clients at the portfolio, business unit, and corporate level on shareholder value, operational strategy, digital strategy, culture, and ESG and sustainability.

ESG is at the top of the agenda for many organizations, yet there is a divergence in levels of maturity and understanding of how they should build their ESG strategy. You'll work with our cross functional teams across PwC including corporate strategists, economists, natural scientists, climate c hange a nd social impact specialists, engineers and finance and accounting professionals - you'll also have the opportunity to help clients not only develop and implement world class ESG strategies and transformation but through that process identify other opportunities for enhancing enterprise value throughout the business and their operations.

Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a ESG Strategy & Transformation Consulting Senior Associate , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Being a creative, strategic thinker and intellectually curious about the pressing sustainability challenges facing global organisations .

• Work collaboratively with the management team to convert business development leads into sales .

• Strong communication , relationship building and influencing skills will be critical

• Play a key role in complex, multi-disciplinary projects related to ESG strategy and transformation - often supporting several projects at a time.

• Balance day-to-day work priorities and workstreams for multiple clients to deliver projects on time and in consideration of resources available .

• Support the development of thought leadership on emerging trends in ESG for distribution within PwC and also with our clients .

Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Strong knowledge of ESG and sustainability trends, issues, and best practices, as well as relevant legal and regulatory frameworks .

• Experience developing and implementing ESG and sustainability strategies and initiatives, including tracking and reporting progress and performance

• Excellent project management and organizational skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate cross-functional teams .

• Strong analytical skills and ability to synthesize complex data and information .

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex concepts to a variety of stakeholders .

• Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize competing demands .

• Passion for ESG and sustainability, and a commitment to driving positive change .

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to articulate new ideas and prepare reports and other documents for presentation to both PwC colleagues and clients .

• Detail oriented with excellent organizational and analytical skills; an ability to think broadly and to identify linkages and trends in data, facts and other information to uncover insights and deliver quality to our clients .

• Share and collaborate effectively with others, building relationships which are genuine and rooted in trust .
