As an Environmental Project Coordinator you will be part of a fast-paced team, working closely with senior managers communicating and coordinating exciting and innovative environmental impact assessment, planning and permitting projects in Ontario. The role will focus on project controls (schedule, cost), as well as coordination deliverables with specialists, fieldwork coordination and documentation control. This position has a flexible location as we have offices across Ontario and have a flexible hybrid working policy. WSP has a great team of individuals working together, the opportunities are endless!

What you can expect to do here:
- Collaborate with our many environmental and technical disciplines at WSP (e.g., archaeology, ecology, physical sciences) and provide support coordinating proposals, reports and other client deliverables
- Perform overall tracking of daily priority items to support oversight activities
- Coordinate effectively with various stakeholders to get the most up to date and correct information
- Support the Project Manager by maintaining schedules, tracking ongoing commitments and deliverables to the client; tracking issues, risk registers and other monitoring tools
- Control and monitor the progress of projects with respect to scope, schedule, budget, quality, etc., and help to implement change as required by the Project Manager
- Prepare minutes, status reports and other materials for clients, project partners, and oversight committees
- Maintain project logs, update project SharePoint sites, and ensure WSP quality control and review processes had been followed
- Assist with development of change orders, proposals, progress reports, work plans, any other deliverables for Project Manager's review
- Review project charges (invoices) and work with accounting and other colleagues to ensure charges are correct prior to review and approval by a Project Manager
- Support field requirements, review of HSE field documentation, attendance at pre- and post-field meetings, and field program coordination
What you'll bring to WSP:
- University degree in Environmental Management, Ecology, Engineering or related natural/earth sciences
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Solid understanding of Microsoft 365 tools (MS Word, Excel, SharePoint)
- Experience with Oracle and other project management software
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Great organizational skills and attention to detail
- Track record of completing tasks on time and with high degree of accuracy and quality
- Willingness to learn project management in a high paced consulting environment
- Ability to solve problems without a lot of oversight
- Ability to work well with others in a team and maintain strong working relationships;
