Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Data and Analytics Manager , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve business issues, deliver high quality client service and operational efficiency. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Design, develop, and provide recommendations for scalable data platforms on GCP
• Develop and optimize big data models using star and snowflake schema techniques to support efficient querying and data retrieval.
• Implement and manage various data storage paradigms, including data warehouses, data lakehouses , and data meshes.
• Utilize open-source data engineering tools such as Apache Airflow and Apache Spark for data orchestration and processing.
• Develop and maintain data pipelines for batch and real-time data ingestion and processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet their needs.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize data platforms to ensure high performance and reliability.
• Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies in data engineering and platform development.
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Data Platform Developer or similar role.
• Proficiency with GCP and exposure to at least one other cloud platform
• Strong experience in big data modeling, including star and snowflake schema development.
• Familiarity with various data storage paradigms such as data warehouses, data lakehouses , and data meshes.
• Proficiency with open-source data engineering tools such as Apache Airflow and/or Apache Spark.
• Experience with batch and real-time data ingestion and processing.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, Scala, or Java.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with additional data engineering tools and frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Flink, Hive).
• Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards.
• Experience with monitoring and logging tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Understanding of data security best practices and implementation.
• Relevant certifications are strongly preferred ( i.e. Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer, Azure Data Engineer Associate, etc.).
