A career in our Sustainability practice, within Risk Assurance Compliance and Analytics services, will provide you with the opportunity to assist clients in developing analytics and technology solutions that help them detect, monitor, and predict risk. Using advanced technology, we're able to focus on establishing the right controls, processes and structures for our clients to ensure that decisions are based on accurate information and assure that information provided to third parties is accurate, complete, and can be trusted.Our team helps organisations plan, source, deliver, finance and measure the wider impact of products and services. We're helping to future proof businesses by making them more resilient and sustainable. You'll focus on identifying and prioritising sustainability issues, setting goals that support alignment and integration of the sustainability vision into overall corporate strategy, and implementing processes, controls, systems, and dashboards to measure progress for consistent and accurate reporting.

As a Senior Manager , y ou will have the opportunity to play a key role in supporting our practice growth , while work ing alongside and learn ing from Canadian leaders in the climate risk, transition and adaptation planning space . Y ou will collaborate on challenging projects, supporting clients on a variety of topics, including:
Climate risk and resilience: Support our clients mitigate climate and nature risk and build more resilient businesses. We help businesses grasp the specific climate risks they face, the regulatory and reporting requirements that govern them, their reliance on nature to drive business value, and the way their risk exposure presents opportunity.
Climate adaptation planning: Support our clients with the development , implementation , and evaluation of climate adaptation strategies. C ollaborate with multidisciplinary teams to conduct climate risk assessments, identify potential risks, conduct cost-benefit analyses, and design tailored adaptation plans .
Meaningful work you'll be part of
As a Climate Risk Senior Manager , you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Play a pivotal role in the ongoing development of PwC's climate risk approaches, tools, and strategy , d evelop tools and methodologies for physical and transitional climate-related risk assessment
• Manage multiple/ complex projects providing technical and project management inputs and expertise in areas such as climate scenario analysis, adaptation and transition plan ning
• Manage client consulting engagements over their life-cycle
• Mentor and coach junior resources
• Support internal and external thought leadership on climate risk and adaptation
• Customize delivery approach to meet client needs and ensure excellence in delivery
• Work cross functionally across teams to resolve complex issues and find solutions
• Develop client relationships and contribute to proposals and other business development activities
• Support clients and PwC colleagues to build their capacity in climate chang e
• Support the development of new products and services in related areas such as nature and biodiversity
Experiences and skills you'll use to solve
• An educational and/or applied background in one or more of climate science, engineering, financial analysis, or economics
• Demonstrated knowledge and minimum of 8 years' experience in at least one of the following areas: climate scenario analysis, transition and physical risk assessments, financial impact quantification, adaptation planning, cost-benefit analysis , qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methods , climate strategy
• Relevant experience with undertaking a climate-related vulnerability and exposure process, and link the identified adaptation /mitigation opportunities to strategic organizational goals (e.g., capital allocation frameworks)
• Demonstrated experience with key climate-related reporting frameworks including CDP, CSRD, ISSB, and TCFD
• Demonstrate strong writing skills and abilities by clearly conveying recommendations, ideas, and insights in reports, presentation s , proposals, and other written communications
• Critical thinking, intellectual curiosity and problem solving abilities
• Strong personal initiative, agility and resourcefulness , ability to work collaboratively in multi-disciplinary teams
• Excellent communication skills , can explain complex problems with clarity and effectiveness
