Overview

Working in the National Billing Delivery Centre within Finance ensuring all services are billed on a timely basis, work closely with partners to ensure the investment in client work in progress (WIP) is kept to a minimum and manage escalations. This position reports to the Billing Delivery Center Manager/ Supervisor. As the Billing Delivery Centre supports all the local offices throughout Canada, the individual should maintain the ability to work flexible work schedules depending on the needs of the business.

What you will do
  • Assisting partners in the initiation, preparation, review and issuance of billings to the firm's clients for identified invoice request types.
  • Assist other team members within the National Billing Team or Client Service team members with any questions or inquiries as it relates to Billing requests or practices.
  • Propose and finalize billing schedules with engagement partners, setup and maintain schedules in IBS, edit scheduled draft bills if needed.
  • Review engagement letters as needed to assess billing impacts, including the identification of billing schedule, terms, etc.
  • Prepare detailed WIP analysis, SOE review, and initiate meetings with Partners to facilitate Billing requests as assigned.
  • Support Accounts Receivable related activities to ensure invoices are paid in a timely manner.
  • Finalize and approve bills within IBS for Partners upon request.
  • Process bill adjustments (credit notes and bill reversals) based on consultations with engagement partners, provide clarification on partial credit notes if needed.
  • Review ERP gain/loss during billing process and notify engagement partner of any risks/issues related to ERP.
  • Support the ongoing change management effort to assist the DC team across various geographies and engagement teams, with a continuous focus on standardizing billing processes.
  • Proactively engage in interactions in a professional manner with a one team mentality to achieve turnaround targets to ensure a high service level.
  • Work collaboratively to ensure work is completed and efficiencies are implemented.
What you bring to the role
  • Combination of education/experience in data processing, business, and administration.
  • Experience/expertise with a large enterprise resource planning system billing, preferably SAP based, in a professional service environment.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexibility in scheduling with an ability to support Partners across Canada
  • Strong word processing skills and knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Excellent customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain a positive attitude and perform well under stress, while prioritizing tasks and workload.
  • Resilient to work pressures and able to adapt to tight deadlines while multitasking and producing high quality work.
  • Service and detail oriented, takes pride in completing tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • Post-secondary education in Administration or Business an asset.
  • Proficiency in English at a business level is required.


This position requires written and oral fluency in English. The successful candidate will be required to support KPMG employees nationally and will be required to communicate with English-speaking colleagues. This individual will be required to create documentation and share guidance to those in English-speaking provinces.

KPMG BC Region Pay Range Information
The expected base salary range for this position is $46,500 to $70,500 and may be eligible for bonus awards. The determination of an applicant's base salary within this range is based on the individual's location, skills & competencies, and unique qualifications. In addition, KPMG offers a comprehensive and competitive Total Rewards program.
