Value Creation Analytics Leader

Job Description
A career within Delivering Deal Value will provide you with the opportunity to help clients achieve maximum value on their deal transactions by solving transformational and other complex challenges. We focus on all operational aspects of a transaction, pre and post completion. We conduct pre deal and confirmatory due diligence, execute large-scale enterprise wide integrations, and support complex divestitures and separations on a wide range of functional and cross-functional areas.
Purpose-led work you'll be part of
As a Deal and Value Creation Analytics leader, you'll work as part of a team of problem solvers, helping to solve complex business issues from strategy to execution. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
• Leading high profile analytics projects showcasing the drivers and equity story of a business either to management or to bidders to increase deal confidence
• Lead analytics projects to arm management with data driven insights to enable fact-based decision making and drive value within the business
• Bringing structure and clarity to complex problems and business scenarios within tight deadlines
• Using your technical know-how and translating this for our non-technical stakeholders to support robust, evidence-based decisions
• Reviewing & creating reports and presentations and translating our findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Having experience and a passion for coaching, mentoring and upskilling within the team in current and new techniques
• Working with our Global Data Analytics community to further enhance our analytics proposition
• Building and developing strong relationships at all levels both internally and externally
• Leading on business development activities to help identify and research opportunities on new/existing client
Most importantly, we need you to become a business partner and strategic advisor to our clients, translating and communicating your analysis to help answer the critical commercial questions.
Experiences and skills
• Bachelor's degree in Business , Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field. A Master's degree would be an added asset
• Relevant years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Science, or Business Analytics, ideally within management consulting, Corporate Development, or M&A (e.g., Private Equity). Exposure to financial fundamentals and financial modeling is essential
• Technical Proficiency:
• Strong skills in data visualization tools such as PowerBI and Tableau
• Proficiency with statistical software like Python and R
• Solid experience with SQL and data manipulation using Power Query, Excel, Python/R.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, and modern data architectures.
• Experience with PySpark and Databricks is an advantage
• Business Acumen:
• Proven track record of using data to drive business decisions and value creation
• Experience in partnering with high-profile clients across multiple levels, with expertise in business development, client pitches, a nd relationship building
• Completion of relevant professional designations/degree ( i.e. CPA, CFA, MBA , MMA ) preferred
• Exceptional leadership and people management abilities, fostering a collaborative and results-driven team culture
• Effective communication skills, capable of conveying complex data and insights to executive teams, sales leaders, and non-technical stakeholders
• Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office is paramount
• Demonstrated commitment to valuing differences, developing and coaching diverse teams, and ensuring diverse perspectives are heard
• Ability and willingness to travel approximately 20% within Canada and internationally
