Job Skills / Requirements

Successful applicants will be responsible for both proactive and reactive patrols throughout their shifts, while providing access control to the facility. Additionally, you will be required to monitor all security systems inclusive of CCTV.

Staff assigned to this location will be tasked with alarm response and assisting in fire and medical situations.

Security Guards at the site are required to complete a Drug & Alcohol test for incidents that occur on client property.

Position: Temporary Part Time

Site: Elgin Area Water System

Site Address: 43655 Dexter Line, Union, ON N0L 2L0

Overtime Method: Averaging Agreement - calculating after 88 hours bi-weekly

Hours: Friday, Saturday, Sunday (and holidays) 1400-2200

Payrate: $22.07/her

External Closing Date: May 14, 2025

Requirements:
• Valid Ontario Security Licence
• Valid G Driver's Licence
• Valid Standard First Aid CPR Level C
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• Management of Aggressive Behaviour
• Use of Force
• Reliable transportation to commute to this site (not on bus route)
• Safety footwear

Upon hire, the successful applicant will be required to complete the following Paladin online courses;
• Customer Service
• Patrol Procedures
• Diversity Awareness
• Ontario Health & Safety Manual
• Dealing with People with Mental Illness
• Workplace Respect
• Slips, Trips and Falls
• Additional courses as assigned

Certification Requirements (Any)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Ontario Security License
