We are looking for a temporary Talent Acquisition Advisor to join our dedicated team. In this role, you will lead full-cycle recruitment managing a robust portfolio that supports various business areas. You will leverage your exceptional recruitment experience in a unionized environment to support hiring managers in developing a recruitment strategy that supports talent sourcing initiatives, assessments, and selection.

At WorkSafeBC, we offer a hybrid work model that combines working remotely, and in our offices, based on the operational needs of the position.

What you'll do

As a talent acquisition advisor, you will:
  • Source, passive search, network and build pipelines, attract and select of the best available talent while providing an outstanding candidate experience
  • Facilitate and lead the full cycle recruitment process for the business, working with hiring managers and People & Culture partners
  • Apply your expertise to ensure an efficient, transparent, effective, and fair recruitment process working within policy and collective agreement language
  • Use consistent practices and fair processes that instill confidence and deliver excellent service levels
  • Work on high-volume recruits including pre-posting placement processes
  • Fulfill the administrative tasks associated with full cycle recruiting
  • Consistently model the appropriate level of organizational behaviors expected of all WorkSafeBC employees: responsive, respectful, fair, collaborative, accountable, and forward thinking.

  • Independently work accurately with processes and systems to achieve successful outcomes
  • Make process improvements and use technology to innovate

Your experience and educational background :

A bachelor's degree in human resources, communications, marketing, or a related discipline
  • A minimum of three years of full cycle recruiting experience within a large, complex organization
  • Experience recruiting in a unionized environment is a strong asset
  • Experience managing a large portfolio, multiple strategic searches, and client relationships
  • Proficiency working with recruiting and people-related tools and systems, including applicant tracking systems, resume databases, internet sourcing tools, and various reporting tools.
  • CPHR designation (or working towards completion) is preferred
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
