Department Overview
The Global Compliance Department is responsible for overseeing regulatory compliance across TDBG in accordance with the Global Compliance Operating Framework. The department is accountable for promoting regulatory compliance by developing and maintaining compliance programs, including identifying and disseminating regulatory developments to businesses they support, maintaining Compliance policies, managing complaints and regulatory filings, providing relevant training, carrying out independent monitoring and oversight activities, reporting on the state of compliance to the Board, UDP and senior management, as needed, and providing advice and support, as required. Within broader Global Compliance Department, Compliance transformation office has initiated a multi-year transformation program, Road to Strong, aimed to introduce and operationalize sustainable improvements across compliance capabilities. The team is focused on design, delivery and sustainment of the program.

Senior Manager, Compliance, Road to Strong reports to the TDBG AVP, Road To Strong
Individual Accountabilities:
- Support end-to-end design and delivery of Road to Strong program, to drive efficiency and effectiveness improvements in oversight and governance activities in connection with the RCM Program and specifically the GRIC Standard.
- Act as key member of the Compliance transformation function, participate in the definition and enablement of Compliance business capabilities as we build and execute a multi-year strategy and roadmap in partnership with stakeholders such as Platforms & Technology, Operational Risk Management, all 3 lines of defense, and other eGRC stakeholders within TD Bank Group.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert (SME) on industry best practices for Regulatory Compliance Management; actively support various stages of the program delivery cycles, from intake and prioritization, to analysis, requirement clarification, requirement documentation, planning and production implementation.
- Provide timely and effective communication on project/initiative status, analyses and findings to leadership and various stakeholders.
- Identify opportunities to automate, simplify and improve capabilities.
- Understand and manage cross-stream interdependencies.
- Provide support in alleviating roadblocks throughout all stages of delivery.
- Assist in formulating recommendations regarding delivery approach after consultation with key stakeholder groups on estimated effort, resource availability, cross-program dependencies, and other implementation constraints.
- Escalating issues and impediments accordingly to effectively drive delivery.
- May entail opportunities to rotate onto other initiatives within Compliance or Risk Management as business priorities and demands arise.
- Keep current on emerging risks, trends and evolving regulatory requirements for Compliance.
Job Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required; a graduate degree is preferred.
- 10+ years of diverse experience in compliance strategies and risk management within large and complex financial services organization.
- Proven expertise in executing change.
- Hands-on experience with Archer, ServiceNow, or other industry-leading integrated risk and compliance management software.
- Ability to analyze large volumes of information, identify key clarifications, and determine next steps.
- Proven ability to identify and resolve performance and process bottlenecks.
- Strong track record in independently coordinating and completing complex enterprise projects. Ability to manage multiple priorities in evolving and ambiguous environments.
- Excellent coaching and advisory skills for clients, partners, and project teams.
- Strong personal and professional integrity, aligned with TD's vision and brand protection.
- Exceptional organizational skills, including tracking dependencies, resolving outstanding issues, and structuring meetings effectively.
