Brainhunter is currently seeking "Senior Business System Analyst" to work for our valued Financial Service Client. This is a one-year contract opportunity and requires the successful consultant to be on-site 3 days a week in Downtown Toronto.

Required Skillset:
    • 5-10 years' experience
    • University or College education in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Management Information Systems, Commerce, Business Administration or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • CBAP, Scrum Master or other related industry certifications are considered an asset
    • Broad and deep working knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies (eg Waterfall, Iterative, Agile)
    • Broad and deep working knowledge of business processes across many business unit systems
    • Strong working knowledge of strategies for gathering, analyzing, and validating requirements
    • Strong working knowledge of business process modelling, traceability and quality management techniques
    • Strong business acumen and strong knowledge of related industry business functions
    • Analysis based leadership experience on large, complex projects, products or initiatives in a team environment
Extensive experience in:
    • Large project scoping, estimating, and work management
    • Complex analysis and troubleshooting
    • Developing effective working relationships with the business
Experience with:
    • Evaluation of emerging methods to meet team needs
    • Proficient with data modelling techniques and tools, data mapping from source systems
Role profile description:

The Senior Business Systems Analyst is responsible for leading the analysis of business problems and developing requirements**, product* specifications and contribution towards product design efforts. The Senior Business Systems Analyst champions and contributes to the development of analysis standards, tools, processes and best practices. This role applies advanced knowledge to complex work and supports project, product and operations teams by sharing skills and mentoring. This role leads the work to implement solutions to complex problems, which may be independently or through leading or supporting the collaboration with other stakeholders.

**The term requirements can refer to business, stakeholder/user, functional, non-functional and/or transition requirements.
    • Leads and orchestrates the overall analysis, scoping, estimating and planning for large or complex initiatives
    • Ensures solutions and configurations meet business requirements and enterprise-level policy guidance (e.g. architecture, security, risk) and ensures the translation of those processes, needs and requirements into related artifacts and documentation
    • Partners with the QA team to ensure test strategies, plans and processes align with the business requirements and enables efficiencies in the work or testing process
    • Contributes to and/or actively promotes the development, review and implementation of new technologies, methods, improvements, practices and tools through learning, evaluating and adapting industry standards, methodologies and best practices that provide business value and demonstrate practice maturity
    • Is a trusted advisor within the business unit, management, internal and external partners
    • Provides direction and leadership to less senior professionals and is recognized as a technical analysis leader throughout the department
