Site: | Bay Adelaide Centre - 333 Bay Street, Toronto (Downtown Toronto)

Averaging Agreement: Overtime is Averaging Agreement (AA) after 88 hours OR ESA

Hours: | Continental Days and Nights - 8-12 hour shifts * Flexibility Required
Pay rate:
| $19.37 - $19.63/ hour

Site Description:

Bay Adelaide West opened its doors in June 2009. The Bay Adelaide Centre complex encompasses a whole city block and consists of the newly constructed East Tower, 1/2 acre urban plaza. Connected to the PATH (Toronto 27KM underground walkway) with 51 floors and 1,100 underground parking and on site management and 24/7 building access and security.

•Ensure staff are following the assigned patrol schedule;
•Provide clear and concise communication to security staff;
•Record all information in a detailed and factual manner;
•Follow communication guidelines issued by the client, such as prompt notification of incidents; using correct notification groups and providing information that is detailed and factual;
•Be familiar with all Brookfield Standard Operating Procedures and Emergency Procedures;
•Have very strong communication and customer service skills;
•Write detailed, factual, and concise incident reports for all incidents mentioned in Appendix A
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
•Strong command of the English language.
•Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills;
•Strong organizational, prioritization, and time management skills;
•Ability to work in a challenging, fast-paced, multi-tasked environment;
•Flexible and adaptable in dealing with a diversity of situations and people;
•Ability to work efficiently under stress;
•Team player.

Requirements & Qualifications:
•Must have a Valid Ontario Security Guard License
•Must have a Valid WSIB-approved First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
•Must have a minimum of One Year of Experience in Security
•Must be proficient in English (both oral and written)
•Vulnerable Sector Check
•Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UoF) and Management of Aggressive Behaviour (MOAB)
•Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the position

Please be aware:

The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite, however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availability

High School Diploma/GED

Certification Requirements (Any)

Minimum of 1 year security experience
Standard First Aid, CPR Level C
Valid Certification in First Aid, CPR and AED
Valid Security Licence
