KPMG in Regions West is currently looking for a Resource Planner who will provide a high level of proactive support to the Audit and Assurance Practice Leaders and assist them in managing the business. The successful candidate will be able to support Audit and Assurance leadership with organizational responsibilities and effectively handle direct communication on behalf of the Practice Leader.

KPMG in Regions West is currently looking for a Resource Planner who will provide a high level of proactive support to the Audit and Assurance Practice Leaders and assist them in managing the business. The successful candidate will be able to support Audit and Assurance leadership with organizational responsibilities and effectively handle direct communication on behalf of the Practice Leader.
What you will do
- Understand business needs, mitigate issues, and identify solutions
- Operate with a large degree of autonomy and independently complete high-quality work to meet established goals
- Assist with maintaining the accuracy and completeness of information within the scheduling system to provide reliable information for forecasting needs and capacity
- Manage reporting requirements, track utilization of staff resources, work scheduling, time submission, time off schedule and performance management feedback for the management team
- Proactively bring staffing issues to management and look for solutions. Bring forward any staffing challenges to leadership on a timely basis
- Support staffing in the Region by proactively bringing forward potential staffing solutions that may be available out of the local office
- Continuously looking for process improvement to support efficiencies within resource planning, optimize FTEs and allow for more accurate reporting
- Support offices in collecting information related to our national quality controls around resource management, including working with the firm and local office leadership to ensure all engagements are appropriately staffed with the right resources and skill sets. As necessary collecting information for quality management requirements and responding to requests
- Coordinate training arrangements and monitor compliance
- College diploma or an equivalent combination of education/experience in administrative assistant skill set
- A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior administrative role
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to take initiative and solve problems ahead of time
- Excellent project management skills
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Previous experience with Retain scheduling system considerate an asset
