We are looking for an experienced Manager / Senior Consultant, to join the Enterprise Risk team at Deloitte's Strategy, Risk & Transactions (SRT) practice. The sector focus lies on Banks, Insurers, Credit Unions and Capital Markets. Read more below!
What will your typical day look like?
As a Manager / Senior Consultant, Enterprise Risk in Toronto, you work in a collaborative team environment to analyze issues and address client challenges related to risk management, regulatory and legal compliance. Examples of topics you will be dealing with are the federal guidance on culture and behaviour risk, the Financial Consumer Protection Framework affecting regulated banks, market conduct rules and regulations impacting the insurance and securities sectors, OSFI guidance on Corporate Governance, and Compliance (E-13) and the equivalent for provincial Regulators (e.g., FSRA) as well as other emerging non-financial risk areas. You will work in a capacity as Subject Matter Expert and Engagement Leader as part of a transformation project, or independent assessments mandated by regulators. Internal Audit experience and experience in working with regulators is beneficial but not required. You will have a hybrid role, which encompasses developing the local Eastern Canadian marketplace, with focus on the GTA region. In addition, you will have the opportunity to deliver national and international projects.

The salary range for this position is $83,000 - $125,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. You are someone who has: / You are someone with:
- Four plus years of relevant experience in (Regulatory / Legal) Compliance, Audit, Risk Management, Behavioural Science or Conduct Risk related projects for Banks, Credit Unions, Insurance, Asset Management, Investment, either as a Consultant or as part of a Risk or Compliance team in the industry with international consulting experience
- Undergraduate or Graduate Degree in Business, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Organizational Psychology, Law or related field, or an MBA degree
- Experience in professional services, consulting, or a client-based environment; functional experience in compliance and conduct risk management would be mandatory
- Experience managing regulatory compliance and project teams through all phases of the project lifecycle, systems and technologies that support the Conduct Risk or Compliance function, with minimum experience of two Conduct-related projects
- Superior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills, Ability to work in a fast paced and demanding environment
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and colleagues, demonstrated ability to establish priorities and meet challenging deadlines
- Willingness to travel to client locations, as required
