The Talent organization is the global function within Corporate HR, responsible for the enterprise talent strategy including Talent Management, Organizational Effectiveness, Talent Acquisition, Inclusion & Diversity and Learning & Development.
The Manager, Process Optimization position has an enterprise-wide mandate supporting Enterprise Learning & Development. Enterprise L&D is responsible for the strategic direction and establishment of learning and development solutions at TD; building capabilities for leaders and employees consistent with TD's business objectives and talent strategy, so all colleagues can thrive.
Role Description
Reporting to Sr. Manager, Learning Enablement, the Manager, Process Optimization is a global role responsible for the continuous improvement and streamlining of end-to-end learning operations across the Enterprise L&D function. Along with their focus on process optimization, the role will also be accountable for owning and maintaining Enterprise L&D's first line of defence and related business risk, control and adherence activities.
This role will work cross-functionally within Enterprise L&D and across HR to identify inefficiencies in existing workflows, own business-related risks and controls, and recommend improvements to optimize end-to-end L&D processes from intake/resourcing to learning needs analysis, design, development, and implementation/delivery. The successful candidate will implement data-driven and evidence-based solutions to achieve and sustain L&D operational excellence.
The ideal candidate possesses a breadth of experience across the project, change and risk management domains with expertise in end-to-end learning operations, design & development processes, data analytics tools & technologies, and process improvement and risk management methodologies.

Job Requirements
L&D Process Management:
- Lead the development of operating models that map current and future-state processes for functional areas within Enterprise L&D
- Collaborate with stakeholders across Enterprise L&D to understand business needs and align on optimization strategies
- Partner with HR, Compliance, and Finance teams to align learning operations with business objectives and regulatory requirements
- Lead process improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, or other methodologies
- Implement workflow automation to enhance efficiency
- Develop change management strategies to ensure smooth adoption of process changes
- Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) and leverage data analytics tools to measure process effectiveness and change impact
- Facilitate workshops, training, onboarding and knowledge-sharing sessions to promote and ensure adherence to L&D operations
- Monitor industry trends and best practices in process optimization and continuous improvement
- Stay updated on L&D best practices, digital learning trends, and financial-industry skill development needs
Business Governance & Controls:
- In support of the first line of defence, provide L&D leadership team with information, reporting and support to ensure operational risks are appropriately managed
- Own end-to-end first line risk management activities; work with control function partners (e.g., Risk, Legal, Compliance, AML and Audit) to assess risks, develop and implement proactive strategies, tactics and programs to effectively manage regulatory and governance issues
- Act as a business SME and technical lead on key control initiatives and implement policies/processes/initiatives to meet governance and control guidelines
- Ensure business continuity and disaster recovery plans are in place, maintained, and tested for satisfactory resiliency for critical L&D processes
Qualifications/Skills/Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field
- 10+ years of combined experience in business analysis and process management/improvement/optimization; experience in an HR or L&D governance context is highly desirable
- 5+ years of experience leading large-scale L&D projects and implementing curriculum on a global scale
- Strong knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and other process engineering methodologies (certifications such as Six Sigma Green/Black Belt are a plus)
- Strong working knowledge of change management (certifications such as Prosci are a bonus)
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools such as Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, and Visio
- Experience with automation and workflow tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to explain complex processes in a clear and logical manner
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment while also being able to take initiative and work independently
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to maintaining the highest standards of operational excellence
