Provides advice and supports the holistic business marketing objectives of BMO Insurance as a whole and acts as a hub to all segments within the business. Maintains an understanding of BMO Insurance to produce effective and integrated brand marketing solutions. Creates, develops and executes business social media and digital marketing plans/strategies that are consistent with brand standards and align to strategic objectives. Develops, recommends and executes plans for initiatives to include social media, brand amplification, increase awareness, drive results from digital marketing efforts by way of social platforms. Manages cross-functional relationships across business/groups to leverage opportunities and services. Acts as a liaison between Insurance and internal marketing / social functions in order to provide input to drive enhanced business results and ensure alignment to enterprise while prioritizing and amplifying BMO Insurance brand impact. Will work as key business function across all segments with in Insurance to create social road maps and create content with support for segment SMEs.

  • Acts as a trusted advisor to BMO Insurance for all social and digital strategies
  • Influences and negotiates to achieve business objectives
  • Key point of contact with enterprise social team
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform social and digital marketing decisions
  • Collaboratively organizes frequent touch points with key business partners to stay abreast of emerging events that can be amplified to build a robust roadmap
  • Develops and implements short and long term plans/strategies, activation plans, schedules, budgets, communications and tactical plans, as required.
  • Monitors progress against milestones, recommends and implements adjustments as necessary to meet business objectives.
  • Oversees/coordinates the development and distribution of marketing solutions per assigned channels/media for campaigns, partnerships and special events/conferences.
  • Develops and maintains relationships with internal/external partners to include vendors and suppliers.
  • Identifies emerging issues and trends to inform decision-making.
Strategy
  • Leads the execution of strategic initiatives in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Helps determine business priorities and best sequence for execution of BMO Insurance
  • Conducts independent analysis and assessment to resolve strategic issues.
Comms/Change
  • Builds change management plans of varying scope and type; leads or participates in a variety of change management activities including readiness assessments, planning, stakeholder management, execution, evaluation and sustainment of initiatives.
  • Leads or participates in defining the communication plan designed to positively influence or change behaviour; develops tailored messaging; and identifies appropriate distribution channels.
  • Supports and understands the tone of the brand and the target audience
  • Support the business through digital content change and expanding marketing as a key enabler to the business
  • Supports senior leaders with their digital / social presence with strategy and suggested content
Data / Analytics
  • Leads/participates in the design implementation and management of core business processes
  • Oversees end-to-end experience related to marketing program for the over arching business
  • Provides advise from an operational perspective on the run of the marketing program to build out requirements if needed
  • Breaks down strategic problems, and analyses data and information to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Monitors and tracks performance, and addresses any issues.
  • Produces regular and ad-hoc reports, and dashboards.
Qualifications/ Skills
  • Positive Attitude
  • Typically between 5-6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Degree in marketing, advertising or communications.
  • Advanced experience in developing Marketing plans
  • Advertising or creative ager experience an asset
  • Technical proficiency gained through education and/or business experience.
  • Verbal & written communication skills - In-depth.
  • Collaboration & team skills - In-depth.
  • Analytical and problem solving skills - In-depth.
  • Influence skills - In-depth.
  • Data driven decision making - In-depth.
Salary :

$68,000.00 - $126,000.00

Salaried

The above represents BMO Financial Group's pay range and type.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group's expected target for the first year in this position.

BMO Financial Group's total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
