Junior Structural CAD/Revit Drafter

Our Resources subsector, a key component of WSP's ERI (Energy, Resources and Industry) sector, supports clients from coast to coast. This division provides a full range of services to industrial and mining projects, including all services offered in the field of engineering from conceptual and feasibility studies to complete detailed engineering in EPCM, to the closure and dismantling of mine sites. To meet our growth challenges, WSP is currently seeking a Junior Structural CAD Designer for our Etobicoke office ideally but can also be located out of our Thornhill or Mississauga offices.

As a Junior Structural CAD Designer with 1 to 3 years of experience, the ideal candidate will assist in preparing structural drawings and models using AutoCAD in collaboration with engineers to develop design drawings for buildings and infrastructure projects. Reporting to the Senior Engineer/Team Lead, you'll work with a dynamic and busy team working on various small and medium-sized new construction and rehabilitation projects within the mining and heavy industrial sectors. The Resources Engineering group also provides service to institutional and government clients. You will apply your structural drafting expertise to support project work from conceptual design through completion.

What you can expect to do here:

• Create and modify structural drawings and details using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Work closely with engineers to develop and revise design plans.
• Ensure drawings comply with industry standards and project requirements.
• Maintain organized documentation of design files and revisions.
• Assist in coordinating with other disciplines as needed.

What you'll bring to WSP:

• Diploma or degree in Architectural or Civil/Structural Engineering Technology or a related field.
• 1 to 3 years of experience in structural drafting/design.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Revit experience is an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Good knowledge of Ontario Building Code is an asset.
