You will be part of an established team executing a wide variety of small, medium and large transportation design projects, including local and arterial roadway rehabilitation, widening and reconstruction, transit and active transportation projects.

What you can expect to do here:
- You'll use various software tools, including AutoCAD, Civil3D, MicroStation and InRoads/OpenRoads to design projects, prepare drawings, and complete tender documents.
- You will prepare for and attend meetings with clients, including preparation of agendas and minutes of meetings.
- You will support the preparation of a variety of technical documents, including memos, reports and specifications.
- You'll work collaboratively in a team environment, working closely with junior, intermediate and senior transportation design staff, as well as staff within other project disciplines.
- You'll be proactively supported through a mentoring relationship. You will meet on a weekly basis with your mentor, to review and solve technical challenges, and explore opportunities for career progression.
- You will support the team in a wide variety of additional tasks including utility conflict identification, resolution and coordination, preparation of detailed cost estimates, preparation of working day estimates and construction schedules, storm sewer design and associated ECA permit applications, and preparation of property purchase plans.
- You will assist the Project Manager in project coordination.
- You'll be provided with an opportunity to participate in regular lunch and learn sessions, expanding your knowledge through exposure to a wide range of technical and career topics.
- You'll rapidly grow in your technical, communications and management skills, enabling your career to progress to new heights.
What you'll bring to WSP:
- University degree in Civil Engineering.
- 4 years or more of experience.
- P.Eng. is an asset.
- Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D, MicroStation and InRoads and other relevant software will set you apart.
- Good communication skills.
