Emissions Testing Specialist

Seeking an intermediate to senior Emission Testing Professional to lead and perform air emission stack testing projects pursuant to Canadian and US EPA methods and procedures locally and abroad.

What you will do at WSP

• Pursuing emissions testing opportunities in Ontario and abroad
• Preparing quotations per WSP standard requirements
• Liaising with clients and governments to develop testing programs
• Managing budgets
• Managing health and safety requirements
• Managing training needs
• Depending on the role, managing junior staff
• Field testing with travel, projects ranging from 2 days to 3 weeks at a time
• At times may be required to work long hours and/or on weekends
• Working as part of a team possibly supervising junior staff
• Working at heights on stack platforms, rooftops, scaffolds, man-lifts, scissor lifts, etc.
• Climbing ladders is a requirement
• Working outdoors in most weather conditions (-30C to 40C, rain, snow) is required
• Chemical handling
• Heavy equipment handling (lifting up to 50lbs required) and maintenance
• Data processing (Excel) and report preparation (Word and PD

What you bring to WSP

• Degree or diploma in chemistry, engineering, environmental sciences or related field is required
• Demonstrated competence with Excel, Word and PDF software
• Must have strong mechanical aptitude
• Demonstrated work-related travel experience
• Ontario driver's license
• Good driving record
• Experience in driving a van with a trailer is a plus
