What will your typical day look like?
In this role, you will leverage your technical skills, analytical skills and deep understanding of our database systems and reporting products to design data models, create data flows, optimize performance, and drive insights. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and meet client demands.
About the team
Reporting to Manager of Financial Systems and Products, the incumbent will support lifecycle of the product suites for the Financial Systems and Products team. You will assist the team in order to support the Firm's Executive leaders to drive operational excellence and outstanding financial performance by providing top tier reporting and analytics products and systems.

The salary range for this position is $69,000 - $114,000, and individuals may be eligible to participate in our bonus program. What will your typical day look like?
In this role, you will leverage your technical skills, analytical skills and deep understanding of our database systems and reporting products to design data models, create data flows, optimize performance, and drive insights. Your expertise will be essential in collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance product offerings and meet client demands.
- Data Modelling and Strategic Design: Translate business requirements and logics into logical data models, and design data strategies and implement data flows to create systems and products that address the business needs.
- Data Engineering and Data Pipeline: Design and develop efficient data pipelines to ensure the smooth flow of data from various sources to data models and analytics platforms. Collaborate with other developers to optimize data ingestion, transformation, and storage processes. Implement data engineering best practices to ensure data quality, reliability, and scalability.
- Product Expertise: Serve as the SME for our product lines, understanding business objectives and collaborating with stakeholders to develop data models and strategies.
- Data Analytics & Reporting: Analyze complex datasets to extract meaningful insights, performance metric and further improve user experience and decision-making efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product Management, Financial Business Partners, Financial Reporting and IT teams to gather requirements, share insights, and support data-drive decision-making through the product lifecycle.
- Project Leadership: Take initiatives on cross-functional projects aimed at product improvements, collaborating with various teams to ensure alignment with business objectives and timely execution.
- User Feedback Integration: Analyze client feedback and usage data to identify areas for product enhancement and innovation, ensuring our offerings meet user needs. Continuously update and refine the product based on feedback, requirements, and business direction.

You are someone who has:
- A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related STEM programs
- 3-5 years of experience in data modelling, data engineering, ETL, and relevant professional experience in data related fields.
- Experience in SDLC and Agile Project Delivery environment
- Strong expertise in SQL query development and DBMS systems (HANA, MS SQL Server, MySQL, etc.)
- Expertise in ETL/ELT tools and applications (Alteryx, SSIS, Azure Data Factory)
- Expertise in BI and data analytics tools an asset (PowerBI, Tableau, Cognos)
- Strong problem-solving abilities with a data-driven mindset, capable of interpreting complex datasets to design logical models and integration strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence decision-making through data-driven insights.
